We are Tori and Rose, a mother-daughter team who have shared a homeschooling journey spanning over 20 years. Throughout the years, mother and daughter faced numerous challenges and failures while navigating private homeschooling, charter schooling, public schooling, and virtual schooling.
Amidst life changes, Rose realized she needed to rebel against traditional educational norms to carve out a holistic path for Tori's meaningful future. Tori, a beautifully gifted and brilliant learner, needed an approach that met her where she was—one that celebrated her uniqueness rather than forcing her to conform.
Our experiences taught us that there's no one right way to educate a student; each individual is unique. Forcing students into a one-size-fits-all model sets them up for challenges and failures. Together, we've decided to share our successes, our failures, and the methods we've developed over time that worked for us. Our hope is that our journey will inspire others to carve their own paths.
The resources we create are meant to enrich home learners, be affordable, and cover topics Tori benefitted from during her education. Mother and daughter are committed to nurturing and empowering future leaders through wholehearted home learning that identifies and cultivates each individual's unique skills, abilities, and talents. We create holistic and meaningful learning experiences that encourage personal growth without forcing conformity, that fosters curiosity, integrity, and a lifelong passion for learning.
As veteran homeschoolers, we courageously share our story to inspire others. We've fought hard to become the women we are today, and we're not afraid to bravely share our failures and successes. Our mission is to help others lead their most empowered and authentic lives, bringing awareness to homeschooling issues people face but don't feel encouraged to talk about openly.
We aim to break through the shame and fear to connect with others and offer hope. By candidly sharing our own experiences, we hold up a candle to those in the dark, just beginning their homeschooling journey.
Meet Tori, a homeschooled student who has recently embarked on her college journey. From an early age, Tori was a gifted learner, devouring books faster than her teachers could keep up with. Her insatiable curiosity led her down countless paths of knowledge, always eager to explore and understand more.
Deeply artistic at heart, Tori finds solace and inspiration in gaming, writing, drawing, and spending quiet moments in nature to recharge her spirit. These passions not only fuel her creativity but also provide her with a unique perspective on the world around her.
Writing is more than just a hobby for Tori—it's her true passion and a tool she uses to help others recognize their own potential. She believes that everyone has a story worth telling and strengths waiting to be discovered.
Through her educational experiences, Tori learned that there's no single way to learn. She discovered that diverse approaches and flexibility can make all the difference in a student's journey. As a neurodivergent individual, she understands firsthand that not every mind sees the world the same way. This realization has driven her commitment to advocate for learning methods that adjust to meet students where they are.
Tori's journey is a testament to resilience and the power of embracing one's uniqueness. By sharing her story, she hopes to inspire others to celebrate their own paths and to recognize that it's okay—and even wonderful—to learn and grow differently.
Meet Rose, For over 20 years, I've dedicated myself to homeschooling and inspiring others on their educational journeys as a holistic home education advocate and pioneer. Rebuilding my life for myself and my children, I chose to stop seeking perfection. Instead, I became a community resource, passionately advocating for home learning that meets each child exactly where they are.
Throughout the years, my daughter Tori and I faced numerous challenges while navigating private homeschooling, charter schooling, public schooling, and virtual schooling. Amidst the struggles of divorce, the pandemic, and countless life changes, I realized I needed to rebel against traditional educational norms. I carved out a wholehearted path that celebrated Tori's uniqueness rather than forcing her to conform.
My love for art, writing, travel, and humor has kept me grounded and relatable, allowing me to inspire others to take a leap of faith into the beautiful possibilities of wholehearted home learning. As Tori prepared to enroll in college, we shared a heartfelt conversation reflecting on our home learning journey. We opened up about the vulnerable realities of what we wished we had known and cherished what we valued most about our time together.
Inspired by Tori, I decided to help others find their true learning heartbeat through a holistic approach. She continues to inspire me daily, and together we're building a diverse and inclusive community where home learning is approachable and adaptable for everyone.
My hope is that our journey will inspire others to carve their own paths and embrace the transformative power of wholehearted home education.
